About Miss Gina Ballerina
| Hello! Thank you for visiting my wish upon a ballet website! I am a teacher of all
forms of dance and theater and have been teaching since 1996. Dance has always been a part of my life.
When I was 2 1/2 I told my mom that I wanted to take dance classes. It took a while for me to get the
hang of it. I remember the day of my big dance recital at age four. I told my dance teacher that I had
to go the bathroom and I never came back. So remember parents if your kids are a bit shy for
performances when they are small it doesn't mean anything! |

Having a love for all forms of the performing arts lead me to pursue tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet,
voice and acting. Musical theater and opera are actually my favorites. I received my degree in theater from the
University of Minnesota in Duluth. I have had the privilege of working with some great companies since graduating
including the Guthrie Theater, Chanhassen Dinner Theater and the Lyric Opera of NY.
In 2001 my husband and I decided to make the big move to NYC. We had the opportunity to study
with great voice and dance teachers and to perform. It was a great experience! When we decided that we wanted to
start a family however, we thought it would be better to move back to Minnesota to be closer to our
families.
Since being home I started my own program for children that wish to dance or perform musical
theater. Most of my programs are through community education or parks and recreation programs. They are meant for
kids that don't want the competition of dance studios or parents that want something more affordable and less high
maintenance.
Now I am passing on my love for dance to a wider audience. This free site is a way to do that. It
is also a great project for me to learn more about ballet!
If you are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and are interested in my classes in dance and theater please visit
